VUTEk SGIA BEST OF SHOW 2004
The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) recently presented VUTEk Inc. with the 1st place award for their booth at SGIA '04. This award was given "for excellent trade show exhibit design, originality, craftsmanship and salesmanship as displayed at the annual industry exposition". The 4000 square foot, 2 story custom built exhibit was designed and constructed by RES Exhibit Services at its Rochester, NY facility. The booth judging system took into account the fundamentals of exhibit & display merchandising (is the merchandise or service being displayed to their best advantage - highly visible, organized), the ingenuity of design (use of color and lighting, overall aesthetic appearance), and the creativity of display (are there new and different ideas that sell the product or service, as opposed to gimmicks that are clever but unrelated to the product). The judging also looked at the traffic flow (the ease of access into and out of the presentation area of the booth, rather than a configuration which forces people to stand in the aisle) and at the sales support (availability of and easy access to information and support literature).
